2012 : Mankind Capability to Save Themselves

The Mayan calendar predictions for December 21, 2012 are not the only prophecies associated with this time in our history. There is general unrest worldwide and many cultures are anticipating some kind of phenomenal event to occur within the next ten to twenty years. We could either ignore it or be ready for the worst. Something like if your area is flash flood prone, earthquake prone, and etc..., it has the higher possibility that it would happen again. Ignore it or prepare for it?

I wonder during our times perhaps for only 50 years, we become more skillful on the electronics, mechanics, doctors, automotives and etc... What happen to the years before, what kind of skill do they practicing? During old ages, I suspect that their best skill is prophecy, but why forecast things happen beyond their time that they no longer exist and they could not even control of. Perhaps their skill is rubbish, and our skill is practically useful, or perhaps it is true for what they predict is to warn us?



I leave it for you to chew the information. A message in the movie, is to bring the mankind together with wisdom, caring and helping those helpless with our human capability. Exercising our skill we have to the fullness to prevent and minimize the risk that we are already have.

One thing that we currently now have is not enough, such as, predicting the signal, and getting the signal. Just like in the movie. I suspect giving a warning of tsunami (a signal) is not good enough, just like the human has the right to know of the danger, but what are the actions? People are well-prepared for it? Stay at the house? Stay at the high building? Stay at the field? Stay at higher ground? It involves earthquake and water. Where do we save our lives?

We are warned by the nature, and we then gather our skill to detect the signals (warning). It is correct we take precaution before it happen. But I think the issue is, it is not here only to warn us, it is the action that matters. Is it when the nature warns us, and what we can do gathered all the statistic and signal and we warn the people?
