Self Improvement : I Hate my Job but Can't QUIT HELP!

Hello everyone my name is Wesley. I am 28 years old. I have two children who are 5 and 2. I work at a job I absolutely hate. It pays me money but its not much at all. I am in the retail management field so I feel I have to take another management job.

The thing is every day I go to work and hate how the company is being ran and since I am just a department manager I have very little say so over what is done on a daily basis. My bosses know very little about running a business. I honestly hate seeing their faces at my job when I work so hard and they do nothing.

I want to just quit. But since I have children and obligations I cannot quit. I need at least my $10.56 an hour to make it ...or so it seems. The thing is I want to be investing much more than I can. But I am so stressed and tired I just do not know which way is up anymore. I know if there was a way to get out of my job I would be much happier but giving the jobs that are available in Chattanooga, TN. There is very little hope. Anyways thanks for reading I know most of you do not want to hear of other peoples problems, I just needed to say something or I might explode.

If anyone has any substantial advice or any ideas for me to explore please do so. I truely have so much job related stress over a tiny paying job its ridiculous. If anyone can help I would appreciate it so very much.

The energy of hate is great as in this case. You mentioned "The thing is every day I go to work and hate how the company is being ran and since I am just a department manager I have very little say so over what is done on a daily basis. My bosses know very little about running a business."

I guess this is the normal situation when somebody doesn't agree on something, and taking every other reasons to combine it together and seems logically to jump towards another company. I assume if your boss knows more than you, are you agree to take the same salary as usual and shut your mouth?

So what is the main reason? Is it because the boss no experience or the pay?
What makes you so sure you have better running the business than your boss?
A lot of customers wanted you to start a business to be a boss?
